Cape Town - South America, March 31, 2014

Another amazing day and a great tour set up by our wonderful Carla. Full day tour to Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope. Many sites to see along the way including an optional boat ride out of Hout Bay to Seal Island, an island were the numbers of seals on the island has reached 6,000, amazing.

Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope are just so scenic and wonderful to see, this drive must be up there with one of the best in the world. Along the way we saw camels, ostrich, baboons and penguins, yes penguins. Stopped in Simon's Town for a great seafood lunch. A couple in our group had a bottle of wine and please note the warning on the wine bottle label, I thought ours were a bit too much.

From here we wrapped up our tour with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens and then back to the hotel by 6:00pm, a very full 9 and a half hour day. Jan had a hair appointment at 7 and I decided rather than waiting around, I went back to my message place and they were able to fit me for another 60 minute hot stone message, just what I needed after a hard day of sightseeing.

A wonderful meal was had at very popular restaurant in the mall and now time to get ourselves ready to go aboard the MS Amsterdam tomorrow. We are looking forward to unpacking everything and getting ready of the next part of this amazing adventure.
