As the calendar clicks to December everyone on board is talking about packing, so we are moving into packing mode. BTW everyone means everyone except a few crew as this ship is dry docking in San Francisco for two weeks to be refitted on many items.
So to the many activities on board (other than packing), today we had the Golden Mic Raspberry awards, a fun guest participation variety show - great fun. We also had our Farewell dinner formal night followed by a 50's, 60's sock hop. Hosting our dinner table last night was the Head of Security, Norm and his wife Moira (from Calgary), great food, great conversation and great wine, thanks Norm.
The Queen's lounge was wonderfully decorated for the Sock Hop with many of the entertainment crew in 50's / 60's get ups. Again a great time was had by all. Marianne from West Vancouver was dressed in an authentic letter sweater from her graduation from West Van High in 1964. And yes we did win a bottle of champagne from a door prize, hmmm last day, sorry got to go so I can finish it...
Quote of the Day. Too often travel, instead of broadening the mind, merely lengthens the conversation. - Elizabeth Drew
