Dec 01, 2016: San Diego, USA

Late in last night and a full day today, 26,000 plus steps covering some 21.5 kilometres, our legs are tired. After a great breakfast here at the Holiday Inn Express downtown we walked over and met with Jan's brother, Jeff and wife, Sunny. Strolled down to the convention centre, sorry spelling here is center, and had the ferry to ourselves as we made our over to Coronado. Just beautiful. Who could ask for anything more after two solid months on rain, cold and dark weather. We had sunshine and a lovely warm day as we strolled the hour plus over the Hotel del Coronado, lunch on the deck overlooking the crashing waves on the ocean, fantastic. Finishing our loop by catching the ferry over to the Broadway pier to take a quick tour of the USS Midway. Toured the flight deck and the bridge and as we got there late in the day, we were able to validate our tickets to come back tomorrow, nice of them to offer this. Great Italian meal in the Gaslight district at a little place named, Asti. Great day, looking forward to another full day of touring tomorrow.
