Aug 04, 2016: Homfray Goodbye

Under beautiful warm sunny skies we wrap up our visit to Homfray Lodge. Four wonderful days of when coming back here feels just like visiting old friends, you know those friends you see periodically and you just kind of pickup were you left off. Thank you, Dave, Matt and Scott for your warm hospitality during our stay. Looks like I am getting a bit better in calculating our gas consumption as after a few long days on the water we had enough to get us back to the Okeover ramp with a few drops to spare. The sunny skies and flat, flat water certainly helped as well. This allowed me to trailer back to Paradise Rock with much less weight, so all good. So, hmmm, filled the boat up on the way home, 100 litres for my 106 litre tank, now that pushing it. This means that I had about 15 to 20 minutes left in my tank, I knew it was going to be close but that is pushing it a bit. All good at the of the day as we had a wonderful dinner on deck, thanks Jan. Great vacation at Homfray, hope to see you again soon.
