October 12-14, 2024 - At Sea

We have enjoyed relaxing sea days over the past few days, if fact enjoyed them so much that we repeated October 12th - yes a 48 hour day, did someone say Groundhog Day? - Crossed back over the International date line. On our second Saturday, the musicians participated in a collaboration night where all the on board musicians would rotate around to each other’s venues. This was a blast and huge success, something we have never seen before. It kicked off in the Jazz room with our Cruise Director taking to the microphone and singing a few songs. It went from 4 to about 10 pm. Great work from the behind the scenes tech staff to make the room transitions seamless. Tom Mullen invited us to our very first 3pm Tea Time after he heard that we have never participated in one before. Yes Tom was surprised that after 1,000 sea days that we just never really thought of going or it just take place at a time when we are doing something else. Well, we thank Tom for the wonderful tea experience, yes we shall do it again - apparently there are many different themes, this one was cupcakes.

Let’s see we also had another wonderful “dressy” night and a day where you were to sport your HAL insignia clothing. The winner here is a women named Nancy, her and a friend used the old canvas tote bags to make a dress and a vest, fantastic. Also in our pictures are a few of the amazing sunsets that one gets on the ocean.

Some pics over our sea days, hope you enjoy…
