A busy day at sea once again — though this one held a particularly meaningful moment.
At 10:45 a.m., the ship held a Remembrance Day ceremony in the main lounge, open to all who wished to attend. Guests were invited beforehand to provide the name of someone they wanted recognized, and those names were read aloud with quiet respect. At exactly 11:00 a.m., the Captain came over the ship’s PA system with a warm and thoughtful speech, followed by two minutes of silence. The moment was beautifully observed — simple, dignified, and heartfelt. It’s always touching to see how this tradition is honored even while far from home, surrounded by endless ocean.
The rest of the day unfolded in typical sea-day rhythm — lectures, including a bit of deck time — but with a mindful pause lingering from the morning.
This evening was also one of the dressy nights, and we had been looking forward to our dinner reservation at the Pinnacle Grill, one of the ship’s specialty restaurants. That, of course, meant a day of pacing ourselves when it came to dining — saving room for the inevitable indulgence to come!
And as always, the Pinnacle did not disappoint. From the attentive service to the perfectly prepared dishes, it was one of those slow, satisfying meals that remind you what “fine dining at sea” really means. A lovely way to end a meaningful day on the ocean.
