Using the Quick Shuttle service is a great way to get to Seattle from Vancouver. This is our second time using the service and the driver this time, Andy was very friendly and relaxed especially when having to manger two passengers from New York who "forgot" they were transporting a dozen apples into the US. FIne $300.00 US and a half hour of our time. No further comment required.
Seattle is a truly amazing city and the number 12 is very much alive and well in Seattle. On Flags, on buses, T-shirts lives this number 12. Yes the Seattle Seahawks are the world champions as they are the reigning Super Bowl Champs. Marketers and ringing their hands as everything number 12 in selling. Congrats to Seattle as we from Vancouver know that this may be the closest we get to rib against a city that produces a winning product. I know we had the Whitecaps in 1979 but that was soooo yesterday. Canucks, yah we will see what kind of spin you will put on the team this year to sell tickets. Go Seahawks.
Our night in Seattle took us on the monorail to downtown and then a stroll to Pike Market - what a great spot. Sorry but Granville Island does not hold a candle to what Pike's market has to offer. Don't get me wrong, Granville Market is not bad but Pike's has a vibe that Granville just doesn't have, sorry may be it is an American thing.
Some pictures of our day in Seattle.
