Our original plan was to only go as far as Campbell River but that we had some trailering miles behind us we decided to go all way to most northern part of Vancouver Island and visit Port Hardy. Well our RV Park was the recommended, Cluxewe RV Resort, right smack between Port Hardy and Port McNeil. This rv park location is picture perfect as it is beach front on the cruise famous, Johnston Strait. Our site was number 115, which allowed a 45 degree parking possibility which opened the entire trailer to magnificent views. I could imagine seeing the apartment size cruise ships going only a short distance away. We were not here during the cruise season but there were plenty of other amazing sights to take in. Once again we will let the pictures speak for themselves in this update but that said a visit to Telegraph Cove and Port McNeil and Port Hardy are all definite worth a visit.
We concluded our shake down tour with a few nights in picturesque Campbell River before jumping on the Comox-Powell River Ferry. One night in Powell River before bringing Andiamo back to its home in Half Moon Bay. Well, this didn’t last long as we needed to bring her back to the dealer for some minor warranty fixes.
At the end of the day our experience was better than anticipated. The Truck towed her perfectly and with great confidence. Joe (the truck), has all the necessary bells and whistles allowing for not only the towing to be a dream but also the backing into even the tight spots with the pro assist back up option. I am writing this from a Thousand Trail campsite in Seaside, Oregon and soon as I get some good wifi I will update this blog to include this new adventure for us. Again, we refer to this as pulling our stateroom and we are on a 52 day, let’s call it a Grand Adventure with our Andiamo, bonus is that our little dog, Zhalbey gets to participate in the fun.
