Day at Sea - October 23, 2012

Our day at sea began just wonderfully as the ship’s clock fell back an hour to Europe time so we had bit more time in the shut eye department. Breakfast to the room and then it was off to the Mariner award ceremony at 9:30, nice to start the day with a glass of champagne. Let’s see and then it was a 10:00 shore excursion seminar for our upcoming ports, 11:00 was the World’s Largest Cruise Sale seminar where they presented the world’s largest cupcake display of the world. I have included a picture, I talked to one of the presenters and apparently the kitchen staff worked all night to create this display, finally finishing at 6:00 this morning. Let’s see where was I, oh yes 12:00 was time for the Mariner Lunch, 1:30 Culinary Arts demonstration on a couple of Le Cirque recipes. 3:00 an another presentation on the upcoming ports by the ship’s Travel Guide for the doing it on your own self tours. Ah, and then we had a rest until our dinner reservation in the optional Tamarind Pan Asian restaurant - a wonderful and different option. Listening to the Strings and then the show and off to bed - yes a busy sea day, we need another one just to really get a chance to rest but no we have a very busy four ports coming up. Catania in Sicily tomorrow.
