Kerkira, Corfu, Greece - October 20, 2012

As the sun sets here in Corfu we reflect on a most wonderful day of beautiful sunshine and what I would call an excellent independent organized tour. HAL had a tour of about 45 people each driving Suzuki 4X4 SUVs, four to a car. We had three in ours sharing with a very nice gentleman who preferred not to drive, so in a convoy of about a dozen SUVs we toured areas and villages of Corfu that the big buses and others would just not be able to get to, incredible... A bit on Corfu. Corfu is the second largest Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It lies northwest of mainland Greece and serves as a major tourist destination and producer of olive oil and local wines. Castles abound on this small island. In fact the Greek government has dubbed Corfu “Castle City” because of its two prominent castles that border the town. Here is a sample of most incredible day here in Corfu.
