At Sea, May 14, 2014

A nice relaxing day at sea as we start the process of thinking about disembarking, today we collected the three boxes for our "stuff". Also today we visited with our embarkation companion, Lauren (we were in line with in Cape Town so many days ago), who works for the Park West Galleries on board, and we purchased a beautiful piece of Art - we are thrilled!!!

We also had a wonderful surprise from Tom, the Dining Room Manager, we had an officer at our table tonight, Ian, the Chief Engineer. As you may recall, we had dinner with Ian and lovely wife, Grace on our last cruise (Grand Voyage 2013), so very nice to sit down with Ian once again. I have seen him in passing on this voyage but not long enough to have a chat, so thanks Tom for making this happen.

Great day at sea as we did think about Jan's mom having her knee operation today, we have emailed and hope all is going as well as it could be.

Tomorrow is the Mariner Lunch followed by some preliminary packing and then we are having dinner with Gene and Jodie in the Canaletto Restaurant, drinks commence at 7:30. This has been a most incredible cruise with our friends aboard the Ms Amsterdam.
