Tonight was the Captain's Black and Gold Ball extravaganza and what a great night it was. Wearing my Hong Kong purchased Gold and Black bow tie, I was set for the night. Jan already had a great Black and Gold outfit so off we went with our camera in tow. There is an entertainer on board named Sunny, she did a great Marilyn Monroe show earlier in the week and today, did a great tribute to Frank Sinatra. She lives in the Seattle area with her husband Greg and performs a one person Marilyn Monroe show that just may be coming to Vancouver, so we will keep an eye out. Anyway, very nice person who was happy to have her picture taken with us. From here we headed to a wonderful decorated dining room with Debbie Bacon playing front and center, a great night was had by all as Rene, the Green House Spa Manager, hosted out table.
Off the Ball at 9:30 to take a few pictures and practice all the dance steps we have been learning over the past month or so - yes, we still have a long way to go. Fun night including draws, one being for an amazing pair of Le Vian Chocolate Diamond Earrings with $2,600 dollars - and Gene was surprised by such a great turn out. The shoes pictured are worth over $2 million, but tonight they were in sale for half price, yah right...
Hope you enjoy our pictures of the day... I am excited as we are currently sailing around the North Eastern tip of Australia and in the Torres Strait, never been here before. This is the area where Captain William Bligh navigated a life boat through after the mutiny on The Bounty ship, I am just thrilled, not sure if I can sleep tonight...
