So what makes a site get listed as a top sight. Well a few things and this is what I call, instant gratification. Proximity, so from the dock here the beach and snorkeling is only twenty minutes away, second would be after the boat reaches the snorkeling spot how soon is it before you see anything, coral, fish etc. and in this case, put your face in the water and wow, it is all right there, instant. Third would be, well how much is there to see, well this area is huge easily a half kilometer that I can see but it is probably even bigger than that. Next would be accessibility to the beach, well a five minute swim to this beautiful beach, then you have how busy is it, meaning does the water churn causing cloudiness, well although this sight is only twenty minutes from the dock, Komodo Island is not just around the corner to anything, so there was only a few boats here. And lastly would be the clarity of the water overall. I certainly hope the pictures do this snorkeling dive justice because it is the dry season here right now, meaning no run off, which translates to clear, crystal clear water, just magnificent. Okay, so we also have to throw in water temperature, as the water was 30 degrees celsius, it was just fine, thank you very much.
The boxed lunch was just fantastic, home made on the boat that morning, chicken, fish, rice, noodles along with a separate container of fruit. Thank you again Pauline and the people at Komodo Mega Tours. I am going to find out the link from Pauline for anyone reading this that has Komodo on their bucket list.
GoPro pictures, hope you enjoy...
We will be in Komodo Feb. 25th and we are looking for someone to taking us scuba diving. I found a resort, but they only take resort guests. Did you see anyone who will take cruise ship passengers?
