July 18, 2017: Bergen, Norway

We were very lucky with the weather today, they called for scattered showers, we were able to dodge any of the showers during our outing. Bergen is a very scenic, clean, organized and friendly city that appears to go on forever - great sail in and sail out today as we are sailing along with our sister ship, the ms Prinsendam. After the sailing in our day began at the historic fish market in the centre of the city which is located within an easy flat walkfrom the ship. We booked a 10 am fjord tour with Rodne Fjord Cruise up the tight Mostraumen strait to the 380 inhabitant municipality of Modalen, some 90 minutes away. This was a fantastic tour on a stable high speed catamaran on mostly flat water where at time we felt we could stretch our arms out as we squeezed through some of the entry ways - incredible. Back in town we jumped on the funicular to a wonderful view point on top Mt. Floyen. Lots of pics today but the scenery was just so wow. Depending on my internet connection this could be in several parts. Hope you enjoy...
