Our Trailer travels shake down started at the recommended, Peace Arch RV Park. We started here as it was only a half hour away from the dealer, so if anything went amiss as we checked our trailer out they would be close by. Three days later we performed our first highway and ferry experience as we headed to Vancouver Island and Victoria staying at a boutique on the water in West Saanich at the Salish Seaside RV Haven RV Resort. This RV park is in a great location as it is within walking distance to downtown - the walk is along a lovely coastal trail, so perfect. To keep us not pushing ourselves too hard the next stop was a few hours away in Parksville on the east coast of Vancouver Island at the Paradise R.V. Park. This Park was in a great location with great facilities for families. The fun park has two 18 hole putt putt courses as well as an arcade and restaurant. I can see during the busy season that this rv park will be crowded with tight rv spots, you would be very close to your neighbour. The only other issue at this rv park was that our sewage disposal had some type of back up problem. Fortunately, I found this out before emptying our black tank, that would have been a disaster. Yes we spoke to management and they will address the issue. A great little spot to grab a bit to eat is at the close by, Black Goose restaurant. We met Yellow Point Lodge friends, Doug and Paige for lunch. Here are a few pics of our adventure here about a month ago. Hope you enjoy…
