January 23, 2019: At Sea

A little bit of rocking and rolling last night as we hit some 15 to 20 foot seas. The captain decided to speed up our crossing over to the Isla Robinson Crusoe to make it more comfortable than the prescribed 10 knot speed to get us over here by 7am, we arrived some 12 hours earlier at 7pm today. The adjusted plan was to time the waves and swells with the speed of the boat to smoothen out the bumps. It was still pretty rocky and we have a load of salt spray on our verandah and widow to prove it.

Another great day sea day with all the usual events to fill our day. We now have some of the Antarctic Expedition Team on board where two of them did a couple of great seminars to get us even more excited as to what is coming up ahead on this journey and voyage. The other change we had tonight was dinner at the Pinnacle Restaurant - the specialty restaurant on board, very nice as we had a full table of the most delicious food. Great show tonight with the Divas of Motown - fun.

We are now anchored in the bay at Robinson Crusoe Island, yes the same Robinson Crusoe that we all read about as kids, so this should be a another great day and visit here. The weather has settled down after a very windy day causing the promenade deck to be closed so we had to do our laps on the upper deck where it really, really windy, so windy that your ear buds would get ripped out of your ears. Anyway, got some pics of our upper deck workout today.

Hope you enjoy our day in pics….
