At Sea, St. Patrick’s Day - Mar 17, 2020

Well Happy St. Patrick’s Day to all from somewhere off the west coast of Australia on our way to Perth. As we see the world slowly shutting down we are on our way to our disembarkation port, scheduled for the 22nd - at least that is still as of now. HAL flight ease has yet to give us any indication as to how we are going to get home but we have been told it is in the works and we should have something by tomorrow. Now I don’t know if that is tomorrow early or tomorrow late. We have been asked, by letter, to please be patient and not ask at guest services any longer. I guess they don’t understand that this type of thing leads to some anxiety for some. That all said, the front office is certainly working overtime with everyone pitching in, so I will say they are doing a very good job and are getting us information as it comes out. I hope to be able to provide a positive update tomorrow.

For those following along in our journey, we did get a full refund for the tour that should not have gone in Cairns, so that is good. So with that and all this stress going on around us, I thought it was time for a good Swedish Massage, ahhhh. A good hour of bliss and forgetting about all the noise the world is distracting us with currently. We had a great St. Paddy’s Day dinner in the main dining room tonight and a great show tonight with the Shamrock Tenors on the main stage. We did go up and check out the St. Paddy’s party up in the crow’s nest tonight and even had a few dances. So we had some fun amongst all this chaos. Now back to our reality. Here a few pics of our day, hope you enjoy… The wifi has been a bit iffy lately, once again, so hopefully this does post.

The ship is still fine and healthy, so this is good.
