Today was a special day on board. It was for those guests currently on board that were on the 2020 World Cruise and you had earned your next medallion during that cruise, well today you were recognized on this, the first Grand Voyage since “the pause”. 190 guests were sent invitations yesterday to be awarded these medals today by Captain Smit and Hotel Director Florin. We not only had a very nice ceremony but a wonderful special lunch in the main dining room, with wine and all just like in the old days. It was very nice of the crew on the Zaandam to do this for us guests that achieved this next level during that fateful cruise. Thank you Holland America Line.
