So nice having this stretch of sea days to recoup from the four days of incredible sights. Jeremy, Cruise Director/Port Lecturer, has begun the coffee chat series for these sea day, very insightful as he sits down with different crew members. I usually do not attend these because of the small venue they are usually held in but Jeremy conducts his coffee chats on the main stage which allows for comfortable seating. So far, very nice and informative.
We have two guest lecturers on board, Kate Ross and Nico Kotze. Kate is in the prime time of ten in the morning while Nico does the two in the afternoon slot. We attend Kate’s morning session while we are fresh after our coffee but unfortunately Nico’s time slot is during that after lunch nap period. Trivia and exercise take up the balance of the day before we settle into a main dining room wonderful meal and then show before heading to bed. Then it is basically, wash, rinse, repeat on these fabulous sea days. We are currently cruising in the Gulf of Aden, so yes, we are a dark ship at night with security detail on the decks at all times…
