Chef's Table Dinner, Part 2 of 2

Part 2 of 2...

Chef's Table Dinner, Part 1 of 2

Actually four Parts today, Two of Singapore and two of the Chef's Table Dinner...

So the days tour of Singapore took in the sights while at night on board, Larry, Carol, Bruce and Sandy asked us if we would like to join them at the "Chef's Table Dinner" one night. Well that night was tonight (actually last night at the time of writing) and OMG what an amazing experience. We started at the Wine Bar at 6:30, where we were served the Verve Champagne by Jacques, the cellar master. Here we learned as to how the evening was going to unfold in the actual working kitchen. First a tour of the Pinnacle Kitchen with introductions to all the Chefs and cooks and so on, then we were escorted to the main Kitchen Galley where in the middle of all the chaos was an elegantly set table for the six of us. Here over the next three hours we were served a seven course amazing meal along with perfectly matched wine pairings. Each course was first described by the very animated show chef David (a Canadian who has spent five years working in kitchens in Whistler), then as Jacques poured the wine he would describe why he had selected the particular wine to go with each course. This was done in perfect orchestration as the main gallery chaos was going on around us, again amazing. Our usual 8pm dinner time and this gallery was buzzing - they certainly did not need us flying around taking our pictures but what fun we had as our regular dining room waiter, Tomo and assistant waiter, Jay were very happy to stop for a moment to have their pictures taken.

Executive Chef Daniel was always at the ready as his menu was presented to us course by course, what a great night as our signed menus were given to us as we exited using the up side of the dining room staff only escalator - pretty cool, real special, now that is what I call a Kitchen Tour. Special thanks to Tina, the Pinnacle Grill Manager and Tom, the Dining Room Manager that made sure that all our need where met. Which included if anyone of us had to use the washroom they needed to be escorted through the kitchen maze in order to ensure that they do not get lost.

Hope you enjoy our pictures of this special and amazing night of Sights, Tastes and Smells...
