January 07, 2017, Paris, France: Part 1

Some rain today? Well that wasn't forecasted. This is okay as today is the last day of our 6 day pass and we are off to the Picasso Museum, works for us. This museum has recently been extensively remodelled in a multi year and multi million dollar renovation, it looks and presents great. Over 400 Picasso works over his entire life are on display here. You don't have to admire Picasso's lifestyle or like his modern painting style. But a visit here might make you appreciate the sheer vitality and creativity of this hardworking and unique man. A very nice museum and not too crowded today. From here we jumped on the Metro and headed across town to the Arc de Triumph. Seen it several times from close and from far but never climbed to the top, tick, now done. Although a bit of an overcast day, the views were still magnificent. Let's see, picked up a little something at the Mercedes Benz store before hopping the Metro once again across town and over to the left bank for a few photos of a couple famous cafes before settling into a nice lunch in the Latin district. Finally a nice stroll back to our hotel for an early night as we are pretty tuckered out after 6 intense Museum and sightseeing days. Another great day, Sunday tomorrow and we are off to church, yup you heard me right... a few pics of today… 2 Parts
