At Sea, Chile - Feb 12, 2020

A very nice regular day at sea with all of our usual activities and lectures, all good. We have a full team of Polynesian ambassadors on board now doing various activities and lectures, Ie. necklace making, ukulele lessons, lecture on the history of the Polynesians etc. As per my post on Instagram (follow at gd0008) and or FB, today was an extremely exciting day as we passed the Starting line for our journey around the world, so cool. A few days ago I looked up the longitude for Fort Lauderdale and knew at some point today we were going to actually cross this line down here in South America. So, I relate it to a Yacht Race where you sit in waiting until the conditions allow for a clean start where everyone can position themselves to cross the start line at the horn. For us, we have been sitting to the right of that line for some 40 days (oh, I know poor us, lol - and have seen some incredible sites along the way), today at about 5:26 pm (Atlantic Time), the silent horn in my head went off and we begin our journey to go around the world in 88 days. Hope you have enjoyed the ride so far, we are now entering some new destinations for us, Easter and Pitcairn Islands to start with in a few days. For anyone new to the blog, welcome and we hope you enjoy the ride. Here are the few pics I posted today on social media, hope you enjoy… Our new friends Porgy and Bess are looking their new view…
