August 4, 2019, Bray, Ireland

Late night meant a little lay in this morning but the wedding festivities were not quite over as there was a cliff walk scheduled for today, sounds good. Left the hotel at about 12:30 to catch the 1:10 Dart (Dublin area rapid transit - very similar to our sky train). Figured this all out using google, make my way over to the Connelly train station, purchase a return ticket from the vendor, went to platform 5 and wait a few minutes. Strange there was already a train in, hmmm, Greystones, where the heck is that. Conductor came by and asked where was I headed, told him and he said jump on, hmmm, okay. Talked to a few passengers on board and yes this was going through Bray but ending up at Greystones, aha. The thing was is that this train was already a half hour late, making my train a half hour late, so the good news was that I did arrive at the beautiful seaside town of Bray on time for the 2:00 cliff hike. As with back home this weekend this is a long weekend here as well and this seaside town was all abuzz with a carnival like atmosphere with rides and games etc. Very nice. The hike itself was excellent, not too aggressive and with fabulous views, in total about 2 and a half hours. Of course this hike ended at a pub, the Harbour Pub, where the Guinness flowed once more as our hosts provided another delicious meal of great, pub grub. I was back in the city by about 7:30 to check up on Jan as she was having what we call a sea day. All good. What a wonderful weekend of wedding celebrations. We thank our hosts for providing us a lifetime worth of memories. Hmmm, we just may see a few of them again tomorrow, something about meeting up at a pub, lol. A few pics of our day, hope you enjoy...
