August 6, 2019: Galway, Ireland

Picked up our little car at Hertz this morning with ease, nice, Tom Tom GPS, great... but the agent put it on written instructions rather than the map, something I had to figure out to change later. Getting back to the hotel was a bit entertaining as I kept trying to figure the Irish pronunciation of names, I just turned when she said turn and fortunately I get back to the hotel safely all while driving on the other side of not only the road but of the car, lol. All loaded up by noon check out and we were on our way to cross the Republic of Ireland from the east cost to the west coast, just over two hours away. Checked into our hotel, very nice - Hotel Meyrick. It’s crazy here though, parking was not easy as the hotel lot was full, great that we have a smallish car. Went for a little walkabout, this is a beautiful little place, I can see why it is so popular. A few pics of the day...
