Oct 14-17, 2022, At Sea

Wash rinse repeat, plus the time changes as we head east. Overall, it has been a very nice calm crossing of the Atlantic Ocean. Our days are spent more or less relaxing with a few port talks thrown in to get us ramped up and excited for what’s ahead. Jeremy Hales is doing a fantastic job as both Cruise Director and Port Lecturer, we are lucky to have him. All the extra activities offered on a Grand Voyage have been very well attended where they had to add additional classes for many of the events. There are currently no guest speakers on board and the cooking demonstrations seem to still out on hold. Our first guest speaker will arrive when we are in Crete. This may be the reason all the other classes are very busy, people looking for things to do while we are at sea. So we chill. The mask mandate has been relaxed for both guests and crew today, hooray! It is a wait and see though, yes, we do have some cases on board, all very manageable though.

Tonight we enjoyed a fabulous dinner at Rudy’s Sel de Mer, fantastic Dover Sole, yes deboned by the wait staff. We had a wonderful evening with cruise friends, Albert and Kate, good fun…

Only a few pics, the blog will pick up speed once again as we now have four ports in a row. Hope you enjoy.

  2. Hello, I'm glad to hear that everything is progressing well. ;-) Tomorrow you will be "next door" to me in Lanzarote. We have had very mixed weather in Gran Canaria for the last 6 weeks, but I think it will be sunny for you tomorrow in Lanzarote. I'll be interested to hear how you spend your day there. Although the island is very close, I've never been there! So, now that the position of CD and Travel Guide is combined - where does that leave CDs like Hamish who I don't think has any Port/Travel experience? It seems that if you're an ambitious Travel Guide with CD aspirations - you have a good chance of getting this role. Don't forget to let me know about the ballroom classes and dance hosts when you can. Thanks!

  3. That would be almost claustrophobic having a week at sea. It’s amazing they can stock up with water and supplies for everybody for that length of time. Glad they kept you busy beautiful rainbows. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿฅ‚
