Today marks the end of our Montreal to Fort Lauderdale shuttle cruise and moving day for us. Our assigned cabin is currently not occupied so we were granted access today and were able to move most our things to our new location on Dolphin deck, one of our favourite decks. So pretty much all done within a half hour, nice and easy for our turnaround tomorrow. Last night was our last formal, sorry, dressy night with no usual surf and turf menu, insert sad face, :( Turf and Prawns was the substitute, Jan had the Snapper. Dinner was still fantastic with excellent Holland America service, all good. Executive Chef and HAL chocolatier Jacques Torres is on board, he has performed two standing room only and a chocolate extravaganza last night. We walked into the demo theatre and thought, super spreader event, nope not for us and with everything catering to the early crowd, we missed the extravaganza but perhaps a good thing. This just in, we received a letter this morning regarding a mandatory Covid test, down to the Wajang theatre we go. If we test positive we will get a call, if negative, no call. I joked and said well even if I test positive, I’m negative, lol. You see, if you have been following along, last cruise I contracted Covid and now carry a HAL issued recovery letter, good for 90 days. That all said, we are pretty confident that we do not have Covid as of today. We will not be waiting by the phone. It will be the last trivia of this cruise and tonight we are invited to a Birthday Party, Helen M., for those of you who might know her. A very nice evening it was, always nice to meet new, wonderful people. Now it is on to the Grand African Voyage… Thank you for following along on our nine day shuttle. Thanks also for the comments and emails, always nice to see. A few pics of our last couple days, hope you enjoy…
Looking forward to hearing about all the upcoming exotic ports of call! All the best! Calm seas and tight lines!
