March 17, 2019: At Sea - St. Patrick’s Day

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day from aboard the ms Prinsendam, even though sadly. if you try to track this ship, it no longer shows up as ship under the HAL banner. The wind down continues. i digress, Sunday on board is always great as the dining room hosts a special brunch and today was no exception, we decided to check out this special brunch event and we were not disappointed, it was fabulous. Of course more food than you can ever eat but wow, so, so good. This sea day was also the day of the Guest talent show, Jan and Marianne are in the choir and huge kudos to them, the choir and to Stevie, the director, they put on a most excellent mini performance of Les Mis. We rounded out our day by having the mega President Selected Tomahawk steak in the dining room, 36 ounces of prime cut beef. Yes, we were well fed once again today. Tonight we rounded our day out with heading to the Crow’s Nest for the St. Patrick’s, shutting it down at some 12:30am. This is one of the reasons there was no unload last night, the other reason is that my computer was acting up and was just not responding to what I wanted it to do. And honestly, I did not have that much to drink, I eventually just got frustrated with it and shut it down. It is much better today. Here are a few pics of our Sunday’s events, hope you enjoy…
St. Patrick’s is always an important day for Jan and I as it was 21 years ago on this day that Jan said yes to my proposal on a cruise ship up in what would be the equivalent of the Crow’s Nest. So also a special day and night…
