March 7, 2019: At Sea (Amazon)

Today was a nice cruising day on the Amazon, so our pictures are a day on the Amazon with all the boat traffic and some of the scenery we see as we cruise along. We are also beginning to attract some interesting insects, check out the size of these moths when we place our room key cards beside them, wow. Fun fact, the Amazon is the largest river in volume in the world, the amount of fresh water it moves is that of the five longest rivers combined and it runs 20% of all the fresh water in the world out into the ocean. So it you take all the rivers in world to come up with 100% of the fresh water moving to the ocean, the Amazon pushes out 20%, amazing. Tomorrow is our first Amazon port, Santarem, Brazil. It will be hot and humid with a chance of rain… Hope you enjoy todays pics…
