February 19, 2019: Buenos Aires, Argentina

Up and out by about 10, shuttle to the terminal and then it was people everywhere, the MSC Fantasia was in and the amount of passengers was staggering - only yesterday we had this whole terminal to ourselves, lucky us. Today, we had to squeeze by all the line ups, and they were lining up for everything. What took us seconds to get out of the terminal turned into 10 minutes today, this caused us to miss the shuttle bus - half hour wait, great. Although a bit frustrating the HAL staff were very well organized and with great communication. Shuttle to main shopping street, Florida Street at the San Martin Square. This was a great location for us to make the dozen or so block walk over to the Recoleta, the cemetery where Eva Peron was buried. Note, cemeteries here are all above ground and are very inviting and, in the most part, very well taken care of, it is a tourist thing to do.

Lite lunch at a close by restaurant before heading back to the shopping street for some retail therapy, all good as we hopped onto the last shuttle bus at 4pm. Some relaxation and a swim before getting ready for dinner. Dinner tonight we had a very interesting couple join our table, Phoebe and her husband Percy, people we met through other guests on board, Phoebe had a liver transplant two years ago, she was a pharmacist and her husband is and was a scientist that had a company which made generic drugs. So needless to say, we had a very interesting dinner, taking about some war battles and the care taking side. Showtime was a comedian that I sat and watched, he was easy and okay, so all good. We now have two sea days, yeah, back to our “sea” schedule. A few pics of todays events, hope ups enjoy…
