Sept 12, 2018: Paris, France

The Chess hotel does serve a very nice buffet style breakfast with both hot and cold options and a cappuccino machine that blinks and puts on a nice show when you get a cafe latte with a double shot, now I’m awake.

Chatted with Brian and Anna and came up game plan for the day. Metro over to the St. Germaine area for a stroll and some retail therapy, then to the Bateau bus (water hop on hop off) for an hour and a half tour of the Seine river ending at the Eiffel Tower for some pics. Metro over to the Opera Garnier (built back in 1861) for a self guided walk about tour - a spectacular building, unfortunately the actual concert hall was closed for show preparation. Back to the hotel by 4:30 for a quick break before heading to the Montmartre area and the Moulin Rouge, just fantastic. Another simply amazing day...

Tomorrow we meet up with Carla, Ian and gang for our next adventure to Dijon...

A few pics of our day...
