Do you recall the, it’s a small world ride at Disney Land? You know how you sit in these small boats at it slowly cruises past animated scenes, wellll. This must be the adult version of this ride. The canal is only a bit wider that our boat and we slowly cruise along passing many different sites. We past villages, farms, vineyards as we breeze in and out of locks under these beautiful summer skies, this is one heck of a ride. We pass under bridges, clearing them by mere centimetres, enter locks that seem to barely fit our barge, all with water ski like flat water.
Our meals have been generous and delicious all with included wines, paired perfectly. This morning we had an optional 5 kilometre walk as the Daniele slipped between locks, nice, perfect temperature. A quick break as our barge pulled up and then off to a wine tasting in the Santenay. We tasted four wines, two white and two red after we toured the amazing wine caves. Tonight we dine at a Michelin stared, Pierre & Jean restaurant. A fantastic meal at this 3 Michelin star restaurant, great service, great garden table setting and believe it or not, great prices.
A few pics from today...
