A much better day today, sunny, warm, somewhere around the 20 degree mark, so yes, very manageable. We hit a few more of the high points today, the Pantheon and Piazza Navona to name a few, plus a visit to Il Tempo Di Adriano (a temple dedicated to Hadraian). We happened to walk by as they were letting people in, so we followed along. Now this is a site, where once again, we have walked by many times and said, oh, isn’t this interesting, today we had the opportunity to go inside. Free of charge, you enter (yes, all the same Covid stuff, proof of vaccination and ID), they give you a headset and usher you into a theatre and they play a really cool 3D type video giving the history of Rome and the tie into this structure. Let’s just say its really old and only survived because at one point they bricked in all the columns allowing it to be preserved - yes the story is longer than that but it was very interesting getting this history. We headed back to the hotel at about 5pm for a break and some packing before heading to dinner at Brunnelo’s here in the hotel. Once again, fantastic, absolutely fantastic. That’s it for now, got to finish packing as tomorrow we head to Bari by train… Off to a new adventure. This just in, we are hearing that Vancouver and area are getting hit again by another newly named weather phenomenon, “Atmospheric River”? Doesn’t sound good, hope all are all right…
