Another pool side Tai chi morning before heading out to a little hill top village or town, named, Grottaglie, a place known for its ceramic industry and its castle. We went to check out some of the ceramics because well, you never know what you might find. What’s left of the castle is worth visiting, small with no charge.
The second part of our excursion of the day was to go back to the incredible Christmas display in the hilltop city of, Locorotondo. We were here a few days ago before the lights were turned on but we have driven past this city at night and it was just calling us to come back. We did, and we were not disappointed, Christmas magical in a word. They do an amazing job in making the old town meandering pedestrian only streets come to life at this time of the year, truly a community effort. We have a few pics here, hope you enjoy… Dinner tonight was a departure from our norm. It was 6:00 pm and we were getting hungry and here most restaurants do not open until 8:00 pm, so we headed to a local deli and shop and purchased some sliced meat and cheese from a butcher (yes, freshly, thinly sliced), a loaf of bread and a bottle of red local wine and had a feast back in our suite. Sorry, no tiramisu tonight, some biscotti though. All was delicious. Tomorrow will be our last full day here at this Agriturismo and then we have something different planned… stayed tuned.
