Our last full day here at I Pozzetti, our home base for a week, just fabulous and a great place to hub out from. We will miss this wonderful, spacious accommodation and all it has to offer. Today, we took a few hours to visit “The White Town” of Ostuni, home to about 30,000 inhabitants and gets it knick name from all the town painted white. At moments I felt like we were in Santorini. Easily accessible from here, about 30 minutes away, parking at this time of year is no problem and within minutes you are in the amazing old town. Many areas are pedestrian only as you weave your way through the labyrinth of streets. At our time of visit not many shops were open but enough to keep us retail therapy wise happy. We made a stop in a great little ceramic shop, Seguici, a very friendly and helpful shop owner who is very proud of her work. Just a quick shout out for her, she does have a social media presence, Instagram and FB @shulugostuni. If you are ever in Ostuni be sure to check out her shop. The main cathedral is worth a visit and I’m not a big church guy, this one seemed like the walls were talking to you. A very nice visit here. We then headed the 8 klms to the beach to have our late lunch watching the sunset and watching and listening to the waves crash onto to beach - very nice. Tonight, we come full circle as we head back to the same waterfront restaurant area about 10 minutes away, we checked out the restaurant next door, also fabulous. We are finding it hard to not get a great meal here, a great problem to have. A few pics of our day, hope you enjoy…
