Sept 9, 2021: Clearwater to Jasper Part 1

Another off and on again sleep as we get used to our new accommodation. Well the 4 hour drive turned into a 6 hour extravaganza, we made a few stops along the way for snacks and a lunch. It is very nice to have your accommodations along for the ride sort of speak. We started out and I said, oh where is my iPad… I left it in the room, ahem, the room is right behind me, lol. So it is pretty hard to forget something when you do your final loop around the vehicle and there is nothing left on the ground. We made sure we stopped at the Mount Robson look out to capture the majestic awe of BC Highest peak, some 3954 meters or 12,972 ft. We had lunch in the rig as we enjoyed the view. We rolled into Jasper at a reasonable hour, well hang on there, advance and hour, okay so at 5:30 rather than our clocks at 4:30, ah yes, the Alberta time zone. We made sure where our pick up point was for tomorrow, as it was a bit early, 9:15, we also had to make an accommodation for a daycare for Zhalbey and the other little surprise. You see we booked our next 3 night stay at the Canadream App place, the one closest to Jasper, a KOA close to Hinton. This accommodation indicated that it was 18 klm from Jasper, well not too bad. Well, we entered the address into our google maps and low and behold it is 70 klms away, so an hour. We were not happy or impressed, this is out of our way (we are not going to Edmonton) and we would have to do this trip back and fourth for the next 3 days. Hmmm, although the KOA is very nice, this just may not work for us - paid in full, BTW.
