$186.00 later we are fuelled up and ready to go, the Coquahalla or the Fraser Canyon? Well we are not supposed to be in a hurry but we do need to get to Jasper in 2 days and we don’t really want to overdue the driving, hmmm. We opt for the Fraser Canyon, an hour and a half farther in time but far more scenic, a good choice. As we roll past Spuzzum I see the CP passenger train on my right, cool, what a good looking train - hmm, maybe a pic from up ahead. As we move to get ahead of it we see a series of vehicles pulled over to get the same pic, they are at pull outs several I think timing this thing as they are already standing on bridges. I thought I had got far enough ahead to pull over and get organized to came back to a good vantage point but Jan says, hurry its coming, oh boy. I run down the tree line to get a few shots. This is probably a good time to travel on this as it is not that busy, the dome car probably had a half dozen people in it. Anyway, we continue… We had a pull over snack before passing through Kamloops with the obligatory stop at Timmies. An hour and a half later at about 5:30 we pull into the Dutch Lake RV Resort, what a nice place, bonus it is a pull in site and not a back in, so very nice lake view out the front window. This accommodation offers several RV sites, with or without hook ups, cabins, a restaurant (8am-8pm) and canoe and Kayak rentals, $20 for an hour - pretty reasonable. Bonus, pretty good wifi right at your site.
