No plugs ins and we survived, can someone say glamping it. This is boon docking for a fee, a small fee, but a good well organized facility. For our morning coffee we had to boil some water and use the supplied French press, not too bad. We headed into town and got the perfect parking spot to enjoy a light breakfast before going the tour. The Jasper rafting tours did a super job, from getting Zhabley all set up to giving us the, just in case ponchos, to doing and excellent job on the class 1 and 2 rafting tour down the Athabasca river for a leisurely 1 hour plus tour. The bonus was the 3 Elk wading in the river towards the end - these animals are huge. Two hours all in and we were back in town just after 11am, our guide had recommended a great waffle house on the main drag for a great breakfast, Waffella. We both had the special, great. Great service as we loitered a bit checking a few things out, including the weather, hmmm, tomorrow the weather was not to be as good as today and we planned on going up the gondola. We had time today, so I went on line and booked us in a 1:33pm, yes, including a $6.00 dog ticket, nice that it was puppy friendly. A 7 minute ride later and we were enjoying fantastic vista views all around. We did most of the hike to the Whistlers peak before coming down at about 3:00. We had a bit of time before having dinner with a cruise friend at 6:00 pm so we pulled into a day parking lot, pushed out the slide and had a bit of a nap, a shower and then back into town for our 6:00 dinner. Joanne Gardiner a FCC on board saw our Facebook post a few days ago and messaged us her plans as she also rented an RV out of Calgary to do a bit of exploring, just so happens to be in Jasper at the same time, how cool is that - love FB for this. The last time we saw Joanne was on our tearful goodbye in Perth some 18 months ago. We had a wonderful dinner at our guide recommended restaurant in town, Olive. Yes, it was very nice but as usual we were enjoying our visit so much we noticed it getting dark, hmm, we should go, we need to drain our tanks, refill with water and back into our site. So, off we went wishing each safe travels. With flashlights out we drained our tanks, refilled our water and after a couple tries got the RV level into our site. What a wonderful day, evening and night.
